what is the best wheeled rucksack for travelling?
I am going for at least 6 months so will probably need at least 80 litre capacity. I have a bad back so want to avoid carrying it too much, hence the wheels, although I might need the backstraps for say walking along beaches
My son left last December for a year’s travelling.
He bought a ruck sack in Milletts. I’m sure it was 80 litre. It had a detachable smaller rucksack (to take on the plane), separate storage for shoes dirty underwear etc and wheels. It was made by Berghaus and cost £129.00. Milletts have a pretty good selection and you can check them out online. It is wise to try them on before you buy, as depending on you height the waist strap may be in the wrong place which would be hugely uncomfortable.
My son has travelled all around South East Asia, and is now in Australia. He reckons that it was great and far better than his two mates rucksacks as these didn’t have wheels.
Also it will be impossible to take all you need, so buy along the way.
