Where should I put my wallet ?
I’m Japanese and going to some Western country in 2 months.
Usually I put my wallet in my hip-pocket but my travel guidebook says
it’s careless because pickpockets can take it easily.
Anyway, what I want to ask is where local Western people usually put their wallet.
I’d be glad if you give me some advice.

You can put your wallet on your front pocket for better safe keeping. My brother usually does this since he always go out for work. Last time he placed it in his hip pocket, his wallet got snatched, luckily he got some money left on his front pocket enough for him to go home. Since then, he hasn’t encountered any incidents.
Its a lot getting used to, but it will work. Be safe.
