Why in the summer do the birds in Florida fly from one rooftop to the other?
I’d like to know why, during the summer months and between 7 and 8 pm, the birds fly from one roof top to the other, each following the other and moving over to let the other one in line and then boom, exactly at the same time every nite one takes off and they all leave for the nite. If it makes a difference, it’s South Florida.
Well I’m no bird fanatic but I do know that most birds like to roost at night. They are apparently using their instincts to find the safest most perfect spot to sleep. When a few birds decide they don’t like the spot the others follow in a sort of herd instinct. Eventually they will all feel comfortable enough with a certain spot and stay there.
