Will it matter about my bag?
My mum and I have flown with Ryanair twice in the past year and each time we have taken a typical sport-size bag. It’s quite large but we don’t put much in it so it squshes into the bag cage they use to check sizes.
However, they’ve sent me an email saying that the restrictions are now 55cm x 40cm x 20cm and I’m not sure if our bag will be allowed.
We last flew in May and I can’t for the life of me remember if they sent me this email before… Has anybody flown in the past couple of weeks or months and had this email but got away with it?
I’d say our bag is maybe 70cm x 30 x 30. It’s sort of like a duffel bag. I really don’t want to get to the airport and have to pay, but I don’t want to pay to check it into the hold if I don’t have to.
Fast answers would be great as I’m checking in online very soon, and we fly on the 8th October.

The best way to confirm if your bag is within the limits is to measure it properly so you clearly know the dimensions. Ryanair doesn’t state that it follows linear measurements, so it is possible that if you bag is much longer than the 55cm length, they could refuse you boarding.
You still have enough time to get a new bag that does fit their requirements.
