I baked a turkey and accidently forgot the gizzrds inside can u get sick?
I removed all the neck and a pouch so i thought i got it all after cooking my turkey i opened it up there was another bag of gizzards.Could we get sick or is it ok do you think?
I doubt you would be able to get sick unless as the first answerer mentions, the bag was made of plastic. The one thing you may discover is that sometimes with the gizzards, you will find the gall bladder, which if it busts during cooking, will make your turkey taste god damned awful.
Personally, I would think you should be ok, but just remember to check the insides before you cook another!
