Dire trees like skeletal weeds
Sprouting from darkened soil
Such graceful seeds committing incestuous deeds
Enough to make Her blood boil
Diamond puddles stained on my windowpane
Mother earth’s tears some may call rain
The moon gazes at blossoming daphodiles
As hail melts the sky like gargantuan pills
Sylphs of icy glass quietly stills
Ingenuity stirs as mother earth purrs
Her smile shines in the sky colorful blurs
Whereas green grass grows
As waves wiggle their toes
As I whistle a tune of merriment:
How I marvel at this wonderful sight
Behold these snowflakes purly white
As the sky clears the Sun’s cheeks blush
Awe-struck at these green pastures like oceanic lush
I am seventeen years old and love to write poetry. Ever since I was four years old. The objective of this poem was to get creative and see how far my imagination could take me. I just had fun. So what do you guys think? Constructive Criticism!
It is, indeed a fun write a fun read.
a few of the words seem a wee bit out of place, but you can easily fix that, This is what I consider a true freestyle poem.
Random with rhyme and painting a picture in the readers mind.
Keep writing, creativity needs to be cultivated and grown into real art.
You have a gift, treasure it and use it wisely.
Hail melts the sky rather incongruous to me I would rather see “hail pelts from the sky…”
