Why do people think the TEA Party wants total?
anarchy? In other words, an absence of government?
They are not trying to stop public services like the fire department, police and others. What they want is an end to taxing people and then wasting the money on expensive vacations, private jets, and giving themselves raises.
I’d say 99% of them understand you need taxes in order to run public services. But let’s look at it this way. In medieval England, the King decides he wants a couple new horses and a nice luxurious carriage to ride in. So he puts a tax on glass. Now let’s say he wants a bigger bed to sleep in, so he puts a tax on food. This is exactly what is going on today. Our elected representatives (most of them anyway) want more and more for themselves, at our expense? How is that fair?
That’s what the TEA Party wants. Instead, people label them as a bunch of backwoods hillbillies.
